Notes from your school nurse, Mrs. Anderson.

Flu: Don’t get it or spread it!

Don’t let your guard down now and think the worst of the flu season is over because the peak flu season is fast approaching.  It’s not too late to get your seasonal and your H1N1 flu vaccine.

H1N1 vaccine is available at Riverstone Health Clinic located at 123 S. 27th street during expanded immunization hours:

Mon 8-5pm

Wed  8-6:30pm

Fri 8-5pm

Walk-in Clinics will also be held this week on Jan. 18th at Rimrock Mall in the Dillards court yard from 11am-7 pm.

All restrictions have been lifted and anyone can now get H1N1 vaccine.  Children under the age of 10 need 2 doses at least a month apart.  1st and 2nd doses are available on a walk-in basis.  There is no charge for the H1N1 vaccine.

Seasonal flu vaccine is also available at Riverstone Clinic ($12.00 for kids and $25.00 for adults),  and at St. Vincent Occupational Health Services at 1027 north 27th street (Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:30pm at a cost of $25.00 for adults).

  • Continue to wash your hands often and remind your kids to do so, too.  Remind them to cover their mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.  Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth, stay home when sick and get vaccinated!
