Ones
Our goals for the 1's age group is for each child
to feel secure and loved. We want our center to be a home away from
home. This is also the age group where we begin working on
socialization skills.
Each child will develop at their own pace in areas that interest them at that time. We watch for steady progress in all areas .
Age-group Milestones:
- Starts to pull-up on items, stand by themselves then walk.
- Starts to communicate with words
- Eating table food, starting to use a spoon and cup
- Recognizes body parts
- Plays some games, like peek-a-boo
What you can do at home:
- Give them your time and attention
- Talk and read to them; verbal development is directly
related to how much we talk to our children.
- Let them explore and play, such as play with pots & pans,
empty boxes, etc.
More great stuff!
